Coffee Talk : Take time for yourself

This past week and this coming week have been beyond busy. I find myself stretching thin between all of my commitments. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t have it any other way, but sometimes I can feel my stress levels rising with no end in sight. I have found that one of the best ways for me to deal with it is to basically isolate myself, not in a bad way, but do a little “me-time”.

In my last coffee talk, I said I would start working out, I am proud to say that I have kept my commitment! It has also been a great way to be alone with myself, yes I am in a room full of sweaty people, but with headphones on, I can leave it all behind and just clear my head. This past weekend I decided to stay in on Saturday and get some work done for the upcoming week, well I will be honest I did get work done during the day but by the time nightfall came around I was exhausted and stressed. Again, I decided that I needed a little “me-time”, but with the help of Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face.

Find a way to relieve your stress and know when your stress levels are rising. Sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself when you are really busy is take even just 30 minutes to yourself to regain your thoughts.
