Making school supplies personal is always fun and obviously something I love to do! This year I opted to make my own binder inserts for both the front and side of my binders. I personally have two 1.5′′ binders, but you use a bigger or smaller binder depending on your needs. I use one for my Monday, Wednesday and Friday classes and the other for my Tuesday and Thursday Classes (this includes labs for me).
I have put together an easy tutorial (and included a few freebies of course!) on making personal binder covers!
I began by making a blank 8.5″ x 11″ “workbook”.
Then I used a brush I downloaded (I am sorry I do not have the original link) to make a chevron background. I also did some with Lilly Pulitzer backgrounds (just drag your favorite print and resize to fit). You could do this for any pattern, print etc. that you wish.
I added my monogram to the center to make it personal. You could also add a fun quote or picture depending on your preference.
Here are what mine looked like in use. I had some issues with printing in color with a full size image (due to my schools system for printing) so I ended up trimming the edges and mounting it on a piece of colored construction paper.
I also did the same above process (with different sizes) to make side inserts.
Okay, now for the fun freebies I have made for you all! To download, click the image and then save to your desktop. Print out and enjoy!
Freebie Covers:
You could print any (or all) of these and add stickers (maybe a monogrammed sticker?) to make it ever more personal!
