I am 19 days away from jet setting off to Rome for two and a half weeks (eek!) I have realized that I can really only say a few things in Italian: Ciao, Pizza, and Nonna (only because I, to this day, call one of my friend’s grandmothers, Nonna.)
I have also realized I have absolutely no idea what to wear while traveling around and site seeing. Needless to say, I may or may not be in a slight panic mode. Excited? The most! A little scared? Most definitely. Luckily, I have watched the movie Eat. Pray. Love. twice in the past month and have thus learned three hand gestures to help me communicate, although, none of them are for very nice things…
Another upside is that this trip gives me an excuse to see one of my favorite actresses, Audrey Hepburn, in one of the few films I haven’t seen that she is the star, Roman Holiday.
Any tips for a girl heading to Rome? Any places to stop by an eat, shop or visit that are off the beaten path?
