Valentine’s Day is fast approaching (some of you are dreading it, some are looking forward) whichever category you are in, if you have a Valentine, I am here to help with a gift guide. If not, go ahead, treat yourself!

For Her:
Wallet: I love a wallet that doubles as a clutch. I love it even more when it is in pink.
Ring: I love David Yurman, they are very classic and great quality. I have been eyeing this ring for a while, and any girl who loves a classic, will love this ring! (be sure you find out her ring size, ask a friend or parent)
Ear Warmers: These are the coolest ear warmers I have seen, they double as headphones!
Love Necklace: I am not telling any boy to get this necklace who is not at that level with his girlfriend, but it is a good “inspiration” piece. Another great option is one that says “xoxo”.
Watch: A watch with a pink face is hard to go wrong with. If she is heading into the “real world” or is someone who could use a reminder of what time it is, this is a perfect gift.
Flats: Tory flats have become iconic and many girls love wearing them so it is a safe bet for a gift, just get her shoe size right!
Scarf: I have to say, I am a huge fan of scarves. They add to any outfit and they keep you warm. I am really fond of how big and fluffy this one is!
Earrings: Another classic, because lets face it, jewelry is always a good idea, especially pearls.
iPad Case: A cute and functional case is a must for any girls with an iPad.
Monogram Necklace: Anyone who knows me or reads this blog knows how much I LOVE my monogram necklace. Okay, I am obsessed with it. This is a great gift for any preppy girl. Make sure you know her monogram though (first initial, last initial, middle initial)
Other tips & ideas for girls:
- Get tickets for a show that you can take her too (yes, one a girl would enjoy).
- Don’t forget the flowers!
- Check for coupons or deals to help save money.
- Jewelry is almost always a good go to gift, and I don’t know of any girl who would dislike it.
- If you guys have been together a while, maybe decide to take a small trip together and split the cost rather than get gifts.
- Ask her best friend!
For Him:
Tickets: Get him some great tickets to his favorite team, a concert or a show!
Cuff Links:This is something that guys often overlook, so especially for someone heading into the business world, make sure he is prepared.
Belt: A nice belt is a great and practical gift for a guy. This particular one is from my brother’s favorite designer, Ferragamo.
Bracelet: No, bracelets are not just for girls. I love this masculine bracelet that still has some style.
Sunglasses: Sometimes guys need help picking out sunglasses, this particular style will flatter almost everyone and will give them some great style! Plus they have such a fun name. “Aloha Friday”
Travel Case: Few guys actually have a nice travel case so getting him one would be a great idea, especially if he loves to travel!
Shaving Kit: This is something that I know might be a weird gift, but it really does give guys a cleaner shave and is so much better for their skin!
Loafers: It is said that you can tell a man’s stature by his shoes. Well, give him a leg up with a great pair of loafers.
Tie: A classic gift, but never a bad idea. Honestly, there are so many ugly ties out there so help your Valentine out by getting him a great one.
Other tips & ideas for him:
- If he is really into sports or is and “outdoors” guy, see if there is a cool piece of equipment you can get for him.
- Sports memorabilia from his favorite athlete or team
- If you guys are not into gift giving, maybe cook him a special dinner and plan something fun for a night in together.
- Ask his best friend!
