Mother’s day is around the corner and this year it’s all about the beauty gifts! Every girl loves to be pampered, so make sure your mom is too. With us in full wedding planning mode, I made sure my mom had the Essie Gel Couture Bridal Collection so she was ready for all of the wedding events to come. And with so many pictures being taken, I knew she’d also want to have a flawless make-up finish without needing it professionally done every time. Cue the Artis brushes– I’ve talked about them before, but the other weekend my mom saw me using them, and after trying them once, she was hooked. The first salon my mom ever took me to was an Aveda salon on Cape Cod called “Beyond Beauty”, ever since then, I’ve loved the smell of their products. Recently, I’ve been using their rosemary mint body and scalp oil on my arms and neck before bed. I find it helps to get me into sleep mode and turn off my brain. Another great gift idea is to spend the day doing something your mom loves. One thing I always try to do with my mom is head home during the Spring to help her plant her garden. It’s something we’ve done together nearly every year since I was little, and while occasionally we’ve missed it (ahem, like this year as she had already planted everything before I could come home) it’s something we both enjoy doing together. However, coming home with a few fun beauty goodies for your mom as well sure doesn’t hurt!
