I’ve been trying to get back to basics this week in everything I do. Eating cleaner, making sure the fundamentals are taken care of before moving on in my work, and keeping my wardrobe to only what I love. There are a few pieces that are essential to everyone’s closet, and a few of my favorites are on sale right now.
My first real statement piece of jewelry was a cuff of my moms I (long-term) borrowed from her- it was something I could put on and instantly feel so much more chic. I love this gold one for under $100. The honey-comb effect lets the negative space come through to really give it a delicate and elegant feel. Another essential is a black cami. I live in mine- it works great under blazers, on its own for date night, and is the perfect travel companion since it’s so versatile. With the weather trying its hardest to warm up, I’m going with a Spring/Summer dress for my third essential. I love this color-blocked dress, especially since it uses one of my favorite colors (hint: the color is in the name of my blog). When it’s a little chillier, pair it with a denim jacket and some converse or slip-on sneakers for a casual look (aviator sunglasses optional) and for the warmer days try a wedge heel and small cross-body bag. You’ll be comfortable and ready for the day, not matter if it’s brunch with girlfriends or heading out for a day of exploring.
