5 Minute Face

I recently did a 5 minute outfit, well that means you also need a 5 minute morning face. But again, no one wants to look like they just rolled out of bed, so here are what you will need to look refreshed and bright eyed, in a limited amount of time.

{These are currently my favorite make-up selections and what I have been using}

1. Foundation | I usually use a foundation brush to apply my foundation, but if I am running short on time I will use a make-up sponge. The key is to realize that you are just trying to even out your skin tone. Just lightly brush or apply it in a thin even layer.

2. Concealer | If I am in a rush I apply my concealer second to my foundation, I usually only use it under my eyes if I need it. I usually go back with my foundation brush or sponge to blend in if need be. Honestly, I use this very sparingly and rarely.

3. Powder | For me, this is the most important step! It sets your foundation and keeps it in place all day. Use a good/large brush and just sweep over your whole face.

4. Mascara | Pretty much every girl knows what to do with this one.

5. Lips | To really pull off  the look of not rolling out of bed, put on a good lip color.

TIPS:

  • You have a limited time frame if you are rushing, so make sure you do what you feel is most important. If I really am crunched for time, I will just do powered and mascara {lipstick is usually in my bag so I get to cheat and put in on while on the move}
  • Make sure you have the right foundation color for your skin and time of season. The best thing to do is go to a make-up counter and have them match you.
  • Not all products work for every person, experiment to find what brands you like and don’t like.
  • USE GOOD MAKE-UP BRUSHES {see post about it here}
