As my final post for the Back to College Segment, it is one of the biggest questions, what to pack?!
I over pack for EVERYTHING! However, this year I am trying to do my very best to be very reasonable when it comes to packing. I have made an {overly} optimistic list of what I will bring for the first three months.
This is the start to my list.
I have come up with a new system this year to try and help keep a good amount of clothes and fresh outfits at school, without having them fall out of my closet. I am dividing up my wardrobe into three parts (to match the three types of weather I will have at my school). What I will bring with me will get me through October. From here I will ask my mom to send the next shipment (I will pre-pack a box of clothes to get me through the rest of first semester and the cold weather.) When it arrives I will send my summery shorts, tops, sweaters, etc. back home. This way it will keep my closet at a non-overwhelming level. When home on winter break, I will prep a box for when it begins to get warmer again in spring and do the same thing.
Keep in mind that for the average dorm, you have very limited space in you closet and drawers. Whatever you pack, take about half and you will probably still have too much (sad but true.)
I wish you luck in your packing and hope that I can stick somewhat close to the list I have made…
