Growing up on Cape Cod, we always enjoyed spending time on the islands (Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.) One of our most frequented spots was Edgartown, it’s such a beautiful town with adorable boutiques and delicious seafood. Nearly every time we’re home visiting my family we sneak over for at least an afternoon. We’re sharing 3 of our absolute must visit places with you. They’re all easy to get from one to another, so for us, this is a pretty perfect afternoon in Edgartown.

First stop: Lunch at the Atlantic. Head here for lunch and drinks overlooking the harbor. Be sure to order the crab guacamole and your favorite seafood for an entree. If you’re able to stay until about 4:15pm, they’ll put bacon out on the bar to munch on as well. Yes, you read that correctly, bacon.

Second stop: Murdick’s Fudge. I’ve never been a big fudge person, in fact, I really don’t like it much at all. However, Murdick’s is different, it’s soft, melt in your mouth fudge is absolutely to die for. They have a location in Edgartown, Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs. My favorite flavor is their classic chocolate, but most everyone who stops in will go for their chocolate peanut butter.

Third stop: Downtown. We always meander around the small streets and wander into the more residential areas to take in all of the beautiful homes and hydrangeas that line the fences. There are plenty of great little shops to pop into to bring home a memory from the island.
